✨WELCOME TO THE KiRA KiRA IDOL FEST!✨

Thank you for showing interest in the Kira Kira Idol Festival at Akaicon 2026!

In an effort to encourage audience participation, a raffle winner will be announced at the end of the festival. If you can donate either money or prizes, it would be appreciated, as this is out of pocket. Prizes can be, but are not limited to, idol-related merchandise or your group’s merchandise.

There will be 10-15 minutes built into the end of the festival for the purpose of photographing all the performers as well as revealing the raffle winner. Do not leave before this time; this is an important part of the festival, which will be used to promote all of the performers.

We will be in Main Events again this year, but the time is TBD, but the day of the fest is Saturday.

Due to the influx of applicants, we have changed the application process. Two recent dance/singing covers, practices, auditions, or live performances must be submitted through the application. It has to be from 2023 to 2026.

DA RULES:

    1. All participants must be 16 years or older to participate in the festival.
    2. Be on time. All performers/groups must be there an hour before the panel begins. If everyone in your group is not present, you will not be performing.
    3. You must have a valid Akaicon badge to perform.
    4. If you are applying, please keep in mind that if you are applying with another group (i.e., two groups or more) or as a soloist but applying with a group, you are less likely to be accepted.
    5. Be respectful of all staff, equipment, and performers. Pay attention to your surroundings and listen to announcements. Do not block the stage/performing area. If a performer is not respectful to staff or other performers, there will be a warning. If a third warning occurs, you will be asked to leave the festival. This rule applies to performers inside and outside the festival. You are representing the idol community; treat others how you want to be treated.
    6. Performance order is generated by lottery.
    7. All performers are required to stay for the duration of the festival. If you have any scheduling conflicts, contact kirakiraidolfestival@gmail.com or contact one of the mods of the discord AT LEAST a week in advance. Any later, and accommodations will not be met.
    8. All audio and visuals are due two weeks before the performance. If your group is selected, you will be asked to send them on time. If not, you will not be performing (unless communicated otherwise). There will be no extensions.
    9. All setlists have a MAX of 8 minutes. This includes intro, transition, and outro times. Please be mindful of that time.
    10. You can not participate in both KKIF and the cosplay contest. We and the cosplay contest team cannot accommodate scheduling for participants to be in both. Even if it one member, you cannot participate in both.

Now that you’ve read DA RULES, it’s time to move on to the idol fest application! Applications will be closed on Feb. 9th at 11:59 pm EST! Here is the link to the application:
