Gira Gira Rules and Signup

✨WELCOME TO THE GiRA GiRA IDOL FEST!✨

Thank you for showing interest in the GiRA GiRA Idol Festival at Akaicon 2026!

In an effort to encourage audience participation, a raffle winner will be announced at the end of the festival.

This festival is made to highlight debuting idols, soloists, idol groups that don’t have a ton of performing experience, anyone who wants a second chance at performing at Akaicon, etc…

There will be 10-15 minutes built into the end of the festival to photograph all the performers as well as reveal the raffle winner. Do not leave before this time; this is an important part of the festival which will be used to promote all of the performers.

We will be in Main Events again this year but the time and day are TBD.

Due to the influx of applicants, we have changed the application process. Two recent dance/singing covers, lives, auditions, or practices must be submitted through the application. It has to be from 2023 to 2026.

DA RULES:

  1. All members have to be 14+ in order to participate in the festival.
  2. Be on time. All performers/groups must be there an hour before the panel begins. If everyone in your group is not present, you will not be performing.
  3. You must have a valid Akaicon badge to perform.
  4. If you are applying, please keep in mind that if you are applying with another group (i.e. two groups or more) or as a soloist but applying with a group, you are less likely to be accepted.
  5. All performers are required to stay for the duration of the festival. If you have any scheduling conflicts, contact kirakiraidolfestival@gmail.com or contact one of the mods of the discord AT LEAST a week in advance. Any later, and accommodations will not be met.
  6. When applying, your second choice has to be a different franchise from your first choice. For example: If your first choice is Love Live, then your second choice has to be something other than Love Live like Vocaloid, Project Sekai, etc…
  7. All setlists have a MAX of 8mins. This includes intro, transition, and outro times. Please be mindful of that time.
  8. Once your setlist is accepted, that is the setlist you will be performing. No changes unless it is an emergency.

Now that you’ve read DA RULES, it’s time to move on to the Idol Fest application! Applications will be closed on Feb. 9th 11:59pm EST! Here is the link to the application:
